Learning and Creating at Creator Coding Lab at Hyundai Motorstudio

Whenever the weekend arrives, urban parents often look for productive activities that help their children spend their free time meaningfully. A visit to the mall can become significantly more rewarding when paired with creative exploration. Stepping into Hyundai Motorstudio Senayan Park (HMS) provides an inspiring destination for families.

Inside the lounge with lake views at SPARK Mall, a modern setting complements an interactive learning experience. Through the Roblox Creator Coding Lab, children are introduced to the fundamentals of game creation. Rather than only playing games, participants learn how to assemble 3D objects and apply foundational coding logic alongside peers.

For parents planning meaningful educational quality time with children, here is an overview of what children experience during the session.

A Comfortable and Interactive Learning Space

The learning area at Hyundai Motorstudio Senayan Park features an open layout with natural lighting overlooking the Senayan Park lake. This setup offers a pleasant environment where children can comfortably focus on their projects.

Participants sit at the Meja CX (Customer Experience table), which is equipped with individual laptops for each child. At this table, the Guru welcomes the participants and ensures each device is ready for hands-on practice.

Because each session is limited, learning proceeds in a focused manner. Children can readily ask questions to the Guru and discuss design ideas with their peers.

The 90-Minute Learning Journey

The 90-minute program is structured systematically so that children can follow each step clearly:

  • Exploring Future Mobility Innovations: The session begins with an introduction to digital assets on the Hyundai Future Adventure virtual map. Children explore the quadruped robot SPOT and the compact mobility platform MobED as contemporary technology inspirations.
  • Designing Obstacle Courses (OBBY): Children begin building course structures in Roblox Studio. Guided by the Guru, participants learn to move (Move), resize (Scale), and rotate (Rotate) 3D building blocks in the workspace.
  • Applying Coding Logic to Course Hazards: Participants open the `<Part Kill>` script to enable interactive obstacle mechanics. Children examine how the `Touched:Connect` event reads a `Humanoid` object and sets `Health = 0`, making hazards responsive when touched by player avatars.
  • Playtesting and Peer Review: Toward the end of class, participants switch seats to test each other's custom courses. Children observe how their obstacles perform during live gameplay, then record constructive feedback and star ratings on their activity sheets.

Exploring Hyundai Motorstudio Facilities for Parents

While children are engaged in class under the direct guidance of the Guru, parents can explore the diverse amenities at Hyundai Motorstudio, making their waiting time pleasant and productive:

  • Enjoying Refreshments at 1/15 Coffee: Relaxing with artisanal coffee or light snacks in the cafe area overlooking the Senayan Park lake.
  • Discovering Art and Mobility Installations: Touring the studio exhibits to view clean mobility concepts and informative LED media wall displays.
  • Experiencing an Official Test Drive: Taking advantage of the visit by test driving Hyundai vehicles on site, ranging from electric models such as the IONIQ 5 to family MPVs like the STARGAZER Cartenz X.
